What to Take Home From Nosara

Souvenirs that actually take you back

A trip to Nosara sticks with you. Maybe it’s the rhythm of the place, the people, or the feeling of waking up slow with nowhere to be. Whatever it is, it’s nice to bring a little of it home.

Here are a few of our favorite local spots to find souvenirs that go beyond the usual—gifts, keepsakes, and small things that carry the feeling of your time here.

Coffee That Brings You Back
In Costa Rica, there’s something special about the way mornings start here: unhurried and full of good coffee. You’ll always find a warm cup waiting for you when you wake up at Sendero Hotel. You can recreate that a bit at home with a few bags from local roasters like Olo Alaia, who source beans from family-run farms in the Costa Rican mountains. At Olo Alaia, you’ll also find lifestyle goods to take home like shirts, local art, and more.

Swing by Rolling Waves too for a bag of Bocanegra —along with one of their t-shirts or hats, which make great low-key keepsakes.

And there is no shortage of delicious coffee in Nosar. Another town notable favorite is Beach Blend.

Bazaar: Iconic Dresses and One-of-a-Kind Style
Bazaar is a local favorite for a reason. The shop is curated by Nosara residents who design or source each piece from all over the world. From flowing kaftans to iconic dresses, handmade jewelry to small home goods, everything feels intentional—and totally unique. It’s the kind of place where you’ll find something that gets compliments every time you wear it, and each piece feels like it belongs to this place.

deCERCA: Fine Art from Costa Rica
Sendero is home to a rotating deCERCA gallery featuring work from local artists—but just a short walk away is deCERCA’s full shop, filled with ceramics, jewelry, and design pieces made by Costa Rican creatives. You’ll find everything from traditional chorreador coffee makers by Plinc to new collections of handwoven hats and framed prints. Every piece supports the artist behind it—and every purchase carries a bit of Nosara home with you.

Endri: Prints, Tees & Handmade Pieces
Endri’s goods can be found all over town as well as weekly at the Tuesday Market. Their prints and shirts are playful, handmade, and often designed by local artist Endri. All of her illustrations are inspired by life in Nosara. It’s the kind of stuff feels a much more personal and a little less like souvenirs, plus we love her style.

The Tuesday Farmers Market
If you’re in town on a Tuesday, don’t miss the Nosara Farmers Market just right around the corner from Sendero Hotel. It brings together dozens of local vendors offering everything from handmade goods and art to organic produce, body care, jewelry, baked treats, and homegrown coffee. It’s the kind of place where you’ll meet the maker, try something new, and maybe even discover your new favorite snack or soap. Great for picking up souvenirs with a story.

Take a Little Nosara With You
Souvenirs don’t need to be flashy to be meaningful. A good cup of coffee, a piece of art, or even a t-shirt from your favorite café can be enough to bring you back to a slower pace. Something to remind you of early mornings, great waves and time well spent.
