Can I check in early?
If your room is available, we will happily let you check in early. However, please keep in mind that check out time is at 11am and during the high season, we are quite full. We are more than happy to store any luggage until your room is ready.
Is the hotel kid friendly?
Yes, kids are welcomed, however, Sendero is an adult-oriented hotel property. While children and infants are not prohibited, families with small children might be happier and better accommodated at another location. Please feel free to call us with any questions, advice or recommendations.
Are pets allowed?
We are happy to offer dog-friendly lodging. Dogs are the only pets allowed, and we can only accommodate dogs under 70 lbs. with a maximum of 2 allowed per room. A pet fee of $50 per dog per night will be added to your room charges.
What are your cancellation policies?
During High Season (November 1st to April 30th) if the reservation is canceled or modified within 60 days of the arrival date, 100% of the reservation will be charged. During Green Season (June 1st to October 31st) if the reservation is canceled or modified within 30 days of the arrival date, 100% of the reservation will be charged.
During all seasons, please note 100% of the total amount of the reservation will be charged in the case of a “no-show”.
How do I make a reservation?
You are welcomed to make a reservation on our website when you click on “Book Your Stay” in the top right corner or by sending us an email to reservations@senderonosara.com.
Where is the hotel located?
We are located in Playa Guiones, just north of the Main Beach entrance. Our hotel is directly next to the beach preserve, a short 2 minute walk to the beach.

What is the electricity/ voltage of the hotel?
Costa Rica uses 110 volts, the same as in the United States. Typically, plugs are the two flat parallel pins.
Is there parking available?
Yes, however, we have reduced parking spaces available for our guests.
How can I have access to Outpost:
Sendero guests have complimentary access to the common areas of Outpost including the cafe, rooftop and library. A private office can be rented for $100/day + 13% VAT. Outpost is a short 5 minute walk from Sendero. Contact reservations team for more information.
Do you offer all-inclusive packages?
We do not offer all-inclusive packages, however our hotel provides a variety of amenities including a surf school, yoga studio, full service restaurant and the ability for our staff to coordinate any tours, transportation, massage you could require.
FOOD
Do you have a restaurant?
Yes, we have a full service restaurant open from 6am to 9pm daily.
At what time is breakfast served?
Our full service restaurant opens at 6am for coffee and 7am for breakfast.
Is breakfast included?
No, breakfast is not included during your stay. However, we have a coffee station for guests that include coffee, tea and baked goods.
ROOMS
Do you have wheel chair accessible rooms?
Yes, we have the King ADA Room available that complys with the Costa Rican Law 7600. This room is easily accessible from the hotel’s common areas through its private outdoor space overlooking the hotel’s jungle courtyard.
Is smoking permitted in rooms/common areas?
Sendero is a 100% smoke, vape and flame-free property. A $250 cleaning surcharge will be imposed on any room where guests have burned candles, smoked (including e-cigarettes) or vaped in their room or anywhere on property.
Is there internet in the rooms?
Yes, complementary internet is available in rooms and throughout the hotel property.
Is there laundry service available?
We do offer Laundry Service. Please note that we use biodegradable products and our service is a wash, dry and fold service only. We cannot handle anything that requires special care, dry cleaning or is color fast. Rate: $1/cloghting item + 13% VAT.
Which rooms are recommended for families?
Families would be the most comfortable in our Suites. Our Suites have a bedroom with a King bed and a separate living area with a queen sized pull out sofa. The Suites can accommodate a family of 5 with the ability to add an additional rollaway mattress, blow up mattress or pack-n-play added to the room.
We also have two King rooms available with conjoining doors that can accommodate a family of 6. An additional rollaway mattress, blow up mattress or pack-n-play can be added to each room.
Unfortunately additional beds cannot be added to our Queen Deluxe Rooms and Jungle Rooms are not suitable for kids of any age.
All additional beds are $30/night + 13% VAT.
An additional bed has to be booked for children over 7 years old when staying in a room with 2 guests.
TRANSPORTATION
How far is the Liberia Airport/ Juan Santamaria Airport from the hotel?
Sendero is located two and a half hours from the Liberia Airport and approximately five hours from the San Jose Airport.
Can we coordinate transportation from the Nosara Airstrip / Liberia Airport / San Jose Airport to Sendero?
We would be happy to arrange your transportation from any point in Costa Rica to Sendero.
Where can I rent an ATV/golf cart?
We work directly with rental companies, and are happy to make a reservation for you.
Are charter flights available?
Yes, private charter flights are available from the San Jose and Liberia airports. We are happy to make an reservations on your behalf.
TOURS & MASSAGES
What tours and activities can we book and how?
Sendero offers several tours and activities, ranging from water activities like sport fishing to hiking, ATV tours, and horseback riding on the beach. We invite you to come by Front Desk to get more information and book the tour of your choice directly with us. Tours & Massages can not be booked online.
What massages and spa treatments can I find in Sendero and what are the price ranges?
Sendero does not have a spa within its facilities, but we work along one of the best spas in the area, Bodhi Spa. The prices range from $80 to $135 + 13% VAT. We invite you to come by Front Desk to get more information and book the spa treatment of your choice. Tours & Massages can not be booked online.
Where can I rent an ATV and what other options are available?
Through Sendero you can book ATVs, Golf Carts, Side by Sides and bikes. Take into account that they work with vehicle fleet availability and a damage deposit is required. We invite you to come by Front Desk for more information and book the vehicle of your choice directly with us.
OTHER
Do you have special packages for honeymoons/special occasions?
We are happy to create a costume package for you, please send us an email to info@senderonosara.com or we invite you to come by our Front Desk for more information.
Is the water safe to drink?
Yes, tap water in Costa Rica is generally safe to drink, however, all our coffee stations also have filtered water available for guests.
Is it easy to get around Nosara without a car?
Sendero is strategically located in the center of Guiones, just north of the Main Beach entrance. Our hotel is directly next to the beach preserve, a short 2 minute walk. Most restaurants and convenience stores are at walking distance.
Do you have a surf School?
We have an on-site Surf School, Chorotage. Which offers board rental and surf lessons.
Do you have a yoga studio?
Yes, we have a yoga studio that offers 1-2 sessions per day, $20 + 13% VAT.
How far is Sendero from North Guiones?
The main beach entrance at North Guiones is a 10min walk from Sendero.
What are the best restaurants for dinner in the area?
We recommend dining at Sendero Kitchen, Coyol Restaurant and Harmony Hotel Restaurant.
Where is the closest ATM?
There is one ATM next to Cafe de Paris and a second ATM at the Mini Market Delicias del Mundo, in North Guiones.
Where is the closest pharmacy to the hotel?
Farmacia Guiones is located 400m from the hotel, on the main road to Cafe de Paris.
Where is the closest doctor?
Paradise Medical Services is located 400m from the hotel, on the main road to Cafe de Paris.
Where can nannies be booked/ can they come to the hotel?
We work with Nosara Nannies, a professional babysitting service, and nannies can come to the hotel.
Can customers bring additional guests to stay overnight that were not initially intended to stay?
No additional guests can stay overnight.
How can you get a SIM card?
SIM cards are available to purchase in supermarkets.
Does Sendero have blow dryers for guests?
Yes, every room in Sendero comes with a blow dryer for personal use.
